The van Caster brothers have designed the interior of their showroom together with an interior designer friend, with shiny white presentation walls and furni- ture and a discreetly marbled concrete floor. The min- imalist and elegant interior shows off the high-quality carpets to their best advantage. You won’t find stacks of carpets here; most carpets are made to customer specifications anyway. An ingenious LED lighting sys- tem puts the carpets in the right light – also in the large shop windows, where you can see them clearly even from the thoroughfare.
If you want to take a closer look around and maybe take a carpet with you, you will definitely find a parking space in front of the building. This was not the case at the old location in the historic centre of Mechelen. Here in Bonheiden, the customers, including many profession- als from the interior design scene, can drive up directly to the shop. The surroundings in Bonheiden also fit: Van Caster is located in an upscale residential area, next to classy restaurants and shops for exclusive fashion and high-quality indoor and outdoor furniture. •
