ducers, and we produce special yarns for more technical applications. In 2021, the external share was 20 per cent, in 2022 it was over 50 per cent, and this with a parallel increase in carpet production.
One more things about sustainability: We are very aware that buyers and consumers cus- tomers attach great importance to it, but pro- duction of a sustainable carpet usually costs a little more, and we are aware that consum- ers are often not willing to pay for that in the end. For us it is always a tricky balancing act, which we address through transparency and communication, in order to get customers on board.
Carpet Home: Will Mc Three be at the next Domotex ?
Peter Desmet: Yes, we’ve got that firmly planned. But the next time you will be able to see our new products will be sooner, when we open our in-house showroom at Flanders Flooring Days from 22 to 25 May.
Yarn development, yarn production and carpet production are located at the same site. This vertical integration ensures agility.
